Detailed Product Description:

Spiegler Replacement Brake Lines with Steel Braided Sheathing

Very pressure-stable brake lines for best modulation and almost unlimited durability.

Details:

  • Original rubber lines become softer over time and no longer reliably transmit the force to actuate the brake to the calipers - most motorcycle manufacturers therefore recommend replacing them every 5 years.
  • Especially if the original lines are already a bit older, a very noticeable improvement in pressure point and thus modulation and effect will occur after installing the steel braided version, requiring less hand force.
  • Brake fluid will also last much longer when the "porous" rubber lines no longer allow as much fluid (water) to pass through.
  • The steel braided lines offer unlimited lifespan and do not need to be replaced for durability reasons after one-time installation.
  • Connectors made of lightweight aluminum with top-quality anodizing for installation without coating damage.
  • Stainless steel crimping of the connectors to the line.
  • PTFE inner lining.
  • Sheathing made of V2A stainless steel in spring steel quality.
  • With silver connectors and tinted protective sheathing (carbon look) or with black connectors and black sheathing.
  • Up to 60% weight savings compared to original lines.
  • The original hollow screws can continue to be used for installation - if necessary, suitable double/hollow screws are included.

Options:

  • Also available for many other models upon request.
  • Suitable brake fluid (order number 55070100032 or 55070100080).

Approval (in Germany):
Depending on model and version with ABE (almost always) or TÜV parts certificate (newer or rarer models or non-original configuration).
If with ABE:
The supplied ABE booklet must be carried during the ride.
Entry in the vehicle documents is possible for convenience but not necessary.
If with TÜV parts certificate:
A tester (TÜV, Dekra, etc.) must confirm the correct installation before operation in public road traffic.
This test confirmation must then, similar to an ABE, be carried during the ride.
At the next opportunity (i.e., next visit to the road traffic office for registration/deregistration/re-registration), it should then be included in the registration documents.
