The Silent Sport Exhaust Heat Shield Tape 10 Meters is ideal for high temperatures up to 750 degrees. It increases performance by allowing exhaust gases to flow faster and provides an appealing look. Perfectly tested for racing.

Detailed Product Description:

Silent Sport Exhaust Heat Shield Tape 10 Meters

The Silent Sport Exhaust Tape is racing tested and suitable for continuous temperature loads up to 750 degrees/C.

Temperatures beyond 500 degrees/C occur on the outside of an exhaust manifold. Wrapping the manifold with exhaust tape is not only for aesthetic reasons but can also have a thermo-dynamic effect ("faster flow of exhaust gases") and thus increase performance.

Wrapping a manifold does provide some thermal insulation, but caution is still advised when touching!

Installation:

The heat shield tape is applied to the disassembled, cold manifold. The manifold must be clean and grease-free to avoid unnoticed burning of deposits. Secure the beginning of the tape with locking wire or a hose clamp (risk of injury!) on the manifold. Wrap the tape tightly and evenly with a 2-3 cm overlap around the manifold. In tight radii, different overlap widths may automatically result. Once at the end, fold the cut tape slightly for aesthetic reasons and secure again as above.

During the first operation, there is a slight smoke development, which disappears after a short time. Nevertheless, the operation should be carried out outdoors or in well-ventilated rooms!

Important Note
should not be used on modern 4-T engines (e.g., BMW GS, etc.) as the permissible temperature may be exceeded. In this case, the mounted tape will discolor.
