THE NEW STANDARD: MESH 2.0

Mesh 2.0 offers a completely new level of motorcycle communication thanks to significant technical improvements to the original Sena Mesh Intercom™ algorithm, ensuring robust and reliable connections of the self-optimizing and flexible intercom. At an astonishing speed, the individual 50S units actively exchange information within the Mesh 2.0 network. A sophisticated system of prompts and responses between the Mesh 2.0 units results in 80% more data being transmitted even under difficult and harsh conditions. Furthermore, each Mesh 2.0 unit is constantly searching for the optimal transmission path to efficiently transfer a conversation from rider to rider.

MULTI-CHANNEL COMMUNICATION AND PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS

The 50S offers not just one, but three different communication modes: Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom™, Group Mesh Intercom™, and Bluetooth Intercom.

• Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom (Open Mesh) offers the industry's first Mesh Intercom™ multi-channel system. Similar to CB radios, the 50S Mesh 2.0 system allows switching between nine different channels while in Open Mesh mode. A single press of a button is enough to connect to the Mesh 2.0 intercom network, where a connection to a virtually unlimited number of users within a range of up to 8 km is possible (at least 6 riders in 1.6 km intervals)! With this simplified connectivity, the enormous number of participants, impressive range, and nine-channel functionality, the Open Mesh Intercom mode of the 50S certainly offers immense added value for large groups.

• If you prefer private group communication, you naturally have the option to switch to Group Mesh Intercom mode, allowing you to form a private group with up to 24 participants and the same impressive range as in Open Mesh mode. To ensure privacy, only invited users can join the group chat. Whichever of the two Mesh Intercom™ modes you choose: you will enjoy stable reliability in Sena's new Mesh 2.0 network.

• Finally, and as always, there remains the option of classic 4-way Bluetooth communication to connect other Senas within a range of up to 2 km. Additionally, even users of a Sena Bluetooth headset can be included in a Mesh 2.0 intercom conversation.

The brand-new 50S speakers are optimized to deliver both powerful and clear audio sound while improving wearing comfort due to a new shape. Volume and bass have been significantly increased, and the speakers feature a clever beveled edge that reduces potential friction between the ear and edge and, as always, fit effortlessly into existing helmet speaker cutouts. VOICE COMMAND CONTROL

To operate your 50S, you don't even need to lift a finger. Voice commands give you control over the device's functions, such as answering a phone call or starting a group mesh session. Voice commands are available in eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.

But what if you run out of gas? "Hey Google, directions to the nearest gas station." With a simple voice command, the 50S connects to Google and Apple's digital assistants, enabling full use of your smartphone, including GPS navigation, music playback, voice dialing, and a variety of other options. Want to know where the nearest pizzeria is? Need to find a hotel for the night? Play your favorite playlist? - All you have to ask is "Hey Siri" or "Hey Google"! - THAT's how #RideConnected works.

QUICK CHARGING AND AUTOMATIC UPDATES WITH THE SENA WIFI ADAPTER

The 50S features a high-energy density battery that charges 30% faster compared to its predecessor. The headset is fully charged in just one hour and allows up to nine hours of talk time in Mesh Intercom mode or up to 14 hours in Bluetooth Intercom mode. Quick charging provides up to 3.5 hours of mesh communication or 6 hours of Bluetooth communication after just 20 minutes.

The included WiFi adapter ensures your device is always charged and can even be programmed to automatically install available firmware updates on the device. Simply connect the adapter to your WiFi network, set it up once, and it can detect and install updates when the headset is connected. Keeping your Sena headset up to date has never been easier!
