You actually find tool rolls stylish and practical, but the buckled straps are too fiddly for you.
Even if the look is too ornate for you otherwise, this roll offers a clean solution.
The inner section of the bag can be pulled out sideways.

Universal Mounting Tool Roll:

• leave the inner section in the outer shell for mounting
• thread the two fastening straps at the back of the bag through the leather loops
• now individually find the suitable position for the roll on your vehicle (e.g. frame tubes, crash bar, fork, luggage rack, etc.) - please ensure that no moving parts are obstructed (also lines, cables, etc.) or vehicle parts are unduly stressed
• thread the straps around the attachment points and into the buckles 
• choose the hole so that the strap holds the bag tightly to the vehicle
• if the existing holes are not sufficient, you can punch additional ones at the required spot, like with a belt
• please generally increase the speed cautiously on the first rides or with new loading
