K-values:
Which one you need for your model can often be determined from the original tachometer or calculated from the revolutions of the tachometer cable.
K1.4 = K-value 1.4 corresponds to 60 km/h = 1400 revolutions
K1.0 = K-value 1.0 corresponds to 60 km/h = 1000 revolutions
The K-value indicates the input revolutions per kilometer.
A K-value of 1.4 means that at 1400 input revolutions, the tachometer's counter displays one kilometer of travel. You can usually find an indication of the K-value on the back of the original tachometer.
K-value 1.4 is mostly used on motorcycles from Ducati, Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha - but there are exceptions!!!

Connection note:
If the old tachometer had two separate indicator lights for the right and left side, the two individual lines (right turn signal and left turn signal) must each be connected to the yellow cable of the tachometer.
IMPORTANT: A blocking diode must be connected in series in each of these lines so that the current can flow to the tachometer but not back to the other turn signal cable!
Otherwise, all 4 indicators would light up regardless of whether you turn left or right.
We recommend two 5A silicon power diodes (U) 50V for this.

Approval (in Germany):
The tachometers do NOT have an E-mark or ABE.
For models homologated under old German law via the KBA (approx. until the end of the 1990s), these tachometers can be used without problems!
For newer models homologated under EU law, the admissibility is at the discretion of the inspector (TÜV, Dekra, etc.).
