ShinYo LED Indicator Pair M10 Cateye Short

Classic universal indicator, now with modern LED technology.

Details:

  • bright and durable LED lighting technology instead of the old bulb version
  • lightweight plastic housing
  • mounting via M10x1.25 thread and nut
  • 12 volts, 3 watts
  • Installation note: The indicators have vent holes on one side - please mount them so that they point downwards.

WARNING:
When using LED indicators on vehicles that originally do not use LED indicators, it may be necessary to replace the flasher relay and/or use resistors to reduce the flash rate to an acceptable level (see also below).

Options:

  • also available as a version with a bulb (Order No. 50170002193 and following as well as 50170003300 and following)
  • for easier connection without changes to the original indicator cables, there are corresponding adapter cables for many manufacturers/models (Order No. 50170003460 and following as well as 50170502000 and following)
  • if mounting is to take place instead of the original indicators, their mounting is usually too large - for many manufacturers/models there are suitable adapter plates that allow for easy mounting (Order No. 50170100000 and following), if necessary, the hole of the adapter plate must be enlarged to M10

Approval:
With E-marking for front and rear.
The indicators have an E-marking and do not require any further paperwork.
They can be installed without any issues, in accordance with installation regulations.

For motorcycles with E-approval (from around mid/late 90s) apply:
Minimum distance from indicator glass to indicator glass front/rear: 240/180 mm
Minimum distance from indicator glass to headlight glass: 75 mm
Maximum distance from rear indicator to the outermost end of the tail: 300 mm
Permissible mounting height: 350 to 1200 mm
Geometric visibility inwards/outwards: 20/80 degrees
Geometric visibility upwards and downwards: 15 degrees
Permissible flash rate: 60 to 120 cycles per minute
For older models, vehicles that were individually approved, or outside the EU, different measurements may apply.
