Battery HVT
Extremely vibration-resistant AGM gel starter battery with very high cold start performance.
Details:
- originally specifically developed for Harley-Davidson motorcycles that require very high starting power and at the same time can mechanically ruin "normal" batteries prematurely due to their vibrations
- the particularly high cold start performance compared to a normal gel or AGM battery is naturally, as well as the much better mechanical durability, also advantageous for all other vehicles
- this battery is also very insensitive to temperature fluctuations
- patented terminals with low internal resistance for better output performance
- this starter battery is completely sealed and therefore leak-proof, it can be installed in almost any position (poles should point upwards)
- it requires no maintenance and is already fully ready for installation - no contact with acid possible
Commissioning:
- to avoid damage, please check before installation if this battery fits your vehicle (fit, dimensions, type, pole position)
- Note: For some models, the correct installation as a replacement for the original battery may not be immediately obvious - sometimes rotating the battery helps to position the terminals correctly.

Ganz schwache Nummer
Habe mit die Batterie im Frühjahr 2019 gekauft. Ging zuerst sehr gut. Im Herbst hat sie fing sie an zu schwächeln. Ausgebaut und an ein Erhaltungsladegerät geklemmt. Im Frühjahr wieder rein und da ging nichts mehr, Starter hat nur noch getickert. Nie wieder so ein Teil. Habe jetzt eine für 50 Euro drin. Heute morgen bei 6° anstandslos gestartet.

Temperaturabhängig
Bei 6 Grad lässt sich meine Sportster 1200 mit dieser Batterie nicht mehr starten. Der Motor wird vom Anlasser nicht einmal über den oberen Totpunkt gebracht. Ist die Batterie angewärmt, dann klappt es. Also für Ganzjahresfahrer nicht zu gebrauchen.

Ich teste trotzdem
Nach dem Reinfall mit der Shido LIFEPO4, habe ich mich auf einen Austausch mit dieser Nitro eingelassen. Die Bewertungen sind ja nicht so toll, aber auch schon etwas älter. Die erste HD-Batterie hat 6 Jahre und 70.000 km gehalten, laut Polo auch mit der Nitro kein Problem, da mit Original vergleichbar (hoffe sie meinten die Qualität und nicht die Abmessungen). Mal sehen, schwer genug ist sie auf jeden Fall, also viel Blei drin :-). Die Quittung hebe ich auf jeden Fall auf und hoffe erst wieder auf einen Batteriekauf in 2025. Ich werde meine Erfahrungen hier veröffentlichen, sofern es den Artikel dann noch gibt :-). Wenn sie nicht hält, gibt es eben nur noch Originalware von HD und schreibe das Geld unter schlechter Erfahrung ab. Vorerst 5 Sterne für Preis (149€), optischer Qualität und Service von Polo zum Umtausch der Shido.
