1500 kilometers in five stages – sounds like an ambitious rally roadbook? Quite the opposite. In the homeland of sensual pleasures, it's not about the tough approach but rather Soulful Driving. Although the CURVES creators once again joyfully maneuver from curve to curve in the seventh volume of the asphalt bible, there's plenty of time to explore the most diverse Mediterranean island outside the cockpit. And it's worth it: Sicily has a lot to offer from mountains, sea, and nature. As early as March, sun rays warm, the scent of blossoms wafts from everywhere, street cafes invite you to linger – and the true early birds simply let summer begin a bit earlier here.
The route takes us along the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea to the mythical racing arena of the Targa Florio. From the Madonie, it goes past Mount Etna, still active and the highest mountain on the island, over winding country roads through the interior. Detours to the racing cities of Enna and Syracuse are a must; here we explore omnipresent witnesses of Greek and Roman culture. Finally, we land at the Mediterranean. There, coastal road enjoyment beckons again before the island is once more traversed towards Palermo.

Tolle Streckenführung - fantastische Fotos
Der Bildband gefällt mir, die Aufmachung unterscheidet sich komplett von einem Reiseführer. Das Motorrad steht hier nicht im Mittelpunkt - aber eine historische, kurvenreiche Route in schönster Landschaft auf dieser Insel! Hilft mir als Ergänzung zum Reiseführer, der extrem kurvige Routen nur selten berücksichtigt. CPM
