CAUTION:
When using LED indicators on vehicles that do not originally use LED indicators, it may be necessary to replace the flasher relay or/and use resistors to reduce the flash frequency to a permissible level.

Options:

• if the legal distances cannot otherwise be maintained or if the license plate is simply in the way, additional necessary extensions for the indicator arm can be used (Order No. 50170400860, 50170400870, or 50170400871)
• for easier connection without changes to the cables of the original indicators, corresponding adapter cables are available for many manufacturers/models (Order No. 50170003460 and following as well as 50170502000 and following)
• if the installation is to take place instead of the original indicators, their mounting is usually too large - suitable adapter plates are available for many manufacturers/models, making installation possible without problems (Order No. 50170100000 and following)
• with the adjustable 2-channel resistor (Order No. 50220000640), use on models with CAN-BUS is also possible without problems - here 1x is necessary for 2 indicators

Approval:
With E-mark for front and rear.
The indicators have an E-mark and require no further paperwork.
They can therefore be installed without further ado, in accordance with installation regulations.

For motorcycles with E-approval (from around the mid/late 1990s), the following apply:
Minimum distance between indicator glass to indicator glass front/rear: 240/180 mm
Minimum distance between indicator glass to headlight glass: due to ECE-R 6, only 20 mm here instead of the otherwise required 75 mm
Maximum distance of rear indicator to the outermost end of the tail: 300 mm
Permissible mounting height: 350 to 1200 mm
Geometric visibility inwards/outwards: 20/80 degrees
Geometric visibility upwards and downwards: 15 degrees
Permissible flash frequency: 60 to 120 cycles per minute
For older models, vehicles that have been brought into traffic through individual approval, or outside the EU, different measurements may apply.
