With the HG Primer adhesion promoter, you can also bond hard-to-bond plastics. Whether in the hobby area, at home, or in your garage. Plastics that are difficult to bond without a primer include those containing PE, PP, EDPM, etc.

How to test if you need the primer or not?

With a simple trick, you can determine if the plastic needs to be pre-treated with the HG Primer:

• Sprinkle a small pile of granulate on the material to be glued and moisten it with a drop of glue. (Let it cool for 5 minutes)
  If the hardened mass can be moved or removed with little effort, the adhesive cannot bond to the base material, and the primer is needed.
• However, if the hardened mass holds or can only be removed with great effort, the actual bonding process can be carried out without the primer.
  Note: After using the HG Primer, curing takes longer. The optimal final strength is achieved only after 24 hours.

Application:

• To allow the primer to absorb well, the surface to be bonded should be roughened
• Then, a fine layer of the adhesion promoter is applied to the affected area.
  The surface structure changes immediately.
