Hashiru Vintage/Racing Single Air Filter
This universal open air filter is attached directly to the carburetor intake with a clamp.
Details:
- as a replacement for the original or for better engine protection when no original air filters are available
- for models with multiple carburetors, almost always mountable side by side due to their size
- may also replace the original air filter box in vintage models if no spare parts are available
- CAUTION: the carburetor may need to be completely re-jetted and tuned
- CAUTION: the noise levels applicable to the respective motorcycle must be observed - if too loud, these air filters must not be used
- this air filter is expressly intended for vintage models - see approval below
- in the item description/selection field, you will find the connection diameter of the connector for which the filter is suitable

These air filters generally do not require any test marks, reports, or ABE.
BUT: Since these are universal air filters, you must ensure that the permissible noise levels and (if applicable) emission levels are not exceeded on your motorcycle.
The noise levels are almost always compliant for models with initial registration up to November 6, 1980, even with these air filters (but we do not guarantee this!!), after that it usually becomes difficult.
The emission levels also change due to a possibly necessary re-jetting of the carburetors. Up to initial registration in 1988, this is usually not a problem.
For models with initial registration from around the mid-90s, these air filters can no longer be legally used in the area of the StVZO!
