The Honda motorbike models covered by this book all share a common basic concept: A V2-engine with a 52° cylinder angle, overhead camshaft, 2 inlet and 1 outlet valves in a double-loop frame made of square steel profile.

This was the basis used already 20 years ago by the Transalp, a classic touring enduro bike that was capable of going off-roads but was and still is at its best on pot-holed and poor-quality side roads. Since 1988, the concept has also been used on the Africa Twin, a thoroughbred enduro bike with Paris-Dakar qualities. Both series have become classics in their respective fields.

This book offers all the information that keen motorbike riders need for maintaining and repairing a Transalp or an Africa Twin. One thing that is particularly useful is the selection of clearly laid out, coloured wiring diagrams.

In this book:
Honda XL 600 V Transalp, 583 cc, 1987 to 1999
Honda XL 650 V Transalp, 647 cc, 2000 to 2007
Honda XRV 650 Africa Twin, 647 cc, 1988 to 1989
Honda XRV 750 Africa Twin, 742 cc, 1990 to 2003

1,344 colour photos, 21 coloured wiring diagrams, format: 21.5 x 27.5 cm, hardback, Moby Dick.
